Sponsorship & Captain's Charity

Help make golf accessible for all

So what will we do with your money?

We have a network of volunteers to run events on the day, making arrangements before the events, doing press releases after the event, making things easier for our members and keeping costs as low as possible.

Our members are mostly quite competitive despite their disability – we run an Order of Merit just as a golf club does and is published (as a Society) on masterscoreboard.co.uk

We also recognise there are some cases of financial hardship so run a bursary scheme for a limited number of players.

Through our Order of Merit competition we make selections for our home internationals. We started these international events to showcase and celebrate that disabled and impaired golfers can play some awesome golf. We hope in turn this is an inspiration to new golfers and for new members, something to aim for through the season, and helps to educate able-bodied people too. But it all costs money.

Despite a national spread of fifty plus tournaments every summer, the DGA is not a huge organisation, but we have been running sustainably since 2010 with over 800 members participating.

The Disabled Golf Association is a registered charity and our accounts are published accordingly.

Without fund-raising support we quite simply couldn’t exist, so if as a Club Captain you are interested in supporting us please get in touch through our Contact page on this site.
