Major – Peter Colson Memorial Trophy
Our first Major of the year – Peter Colson Trophy is held in the North at the exceptionally long Bondhay Golf Club, Workshop
Peter played with the DGA since its inception in 2010. After a short illness in January 2019 Peter died and in memory of his dedication to the DGA his wife Jackie donated a 2nd Trophy to honour his life.
Bondhay GC was a favourite venue for Peter and with his affinity to the course and in honour of his commitment to the DGA its the first Major on our calender and look forward to celebrating his life and returning to Bondhay each year.
We especially thank Jackie Colson for her continued support for both Peter Colson & Marjarie Colson Trophies and appearing for each year to present the trophies.

Peter Colson Trophy at Bondhay was a great achievement as I played there five times previously and never parred the par 5 18th, so I was delighted to finish on a high with a par. Bondhay is a hard testing course which on the day played extremely well from fairways to greens, my putting was on point which helped me win my first tournament of the year.
