High Post Crowns A New Winner

Match Report  High Post 26th April

It was a welcome return to the popular High Post GC for the first South West event of the season. High Post, named after the site of an ancient gallows is located on the southern edges of Salisbury Plain, this chalk-land course offers panoramic views across Wiltshire.  The rain held off and even the sun shone for little. The course and greens were fantastic condition, as it always is and those first time visitors were impressed. We look forward to returning next year, have already provisionally booked for May 2025

Coming in 3rd place with 34 points was Paul Garard, scoring 17 points going out and 17 coming in so a good steady round.  One of newest members Jack Porter had his best round ever  – earning  his 2nd place with 36 points, scoring 24 points on the front 9, just need to work on the back 9 Jack.

Our champion on the day with a fantastic 38 points was Andrew Stewart, considering he drove down from Hull, leaving home at 4am , quite an achievement.

A huge thank you to Tacey Dyer and the catering staff from High Post for making day a success.  See you again next year. I would also like to thank Marc from Golf Car UK for donating buggies for our use.
