Stoke Rochford Host DGA Charity Day

Inaugural Disabled Golf Week was concluded with a Charity Day hosted by Stoke Rochford Golf Club

We had 13 teams of 4 competing in this event with the emphasis put on having fun and raising money to support the work of the DGA.  We had amazing weather and the course was in great condition.  Feedback from participants was extremely positive. This event raised £1,80 from entry fees, the raffle and a silent auction of 4-ball vouchers.

Thanks to everybody who made this event possible, in particular Jane White, DGA Trustee and Lady Captain of Stoke Rochford, who hosted the event and worked extremely hard to make it a success.

Tje evemt brought a close to the inaugural Disabled Golf Week. It’s been a great opportunity to raise awareness about disability golf.  Our major objective is to increase participation, so more disabled people can enjoy the benefits ofplaying golf.  We know the positive impact it can have on both their physical and mental health.

We plan to have another Disabled Golf Week next year and make it bigger and better.
