Order Of Merit Testimonial
I am 65 years of age and i am a below knee amputee due to an accident at work in 2007. I joined DGA about seven years ago to get about and meet other disabled people play golf. In that time i have met some remarkable individuals playing the game. The DGA is split into two regions under the same name ie North and South . I have managed to have been selected for International matches against Scotland and Wales in recent times.
My biggest and proudest moment came last year as I won DGA Golf Carts Europe order of merit a competition lasting the full season in which you gain points from each event. I managed four wins four runner up and two third place to be victorious at the end of the season 2023. Golf carts europe is a company that sponsors the DGA and I was presented a fantastic trophy by Luke of Golf Carts Europe.
Disabled Golf Assocation is great to be involved with to get out and play golf and meet new friends.

“I entered the DGA to play competitive golf and to start enjoying golf again.
Being the first winner of Golf Carts Europe Order Of Merit, this allowed me selection after winning the Golf Carts Europe Championship with seven victories and three runner-up places to
compete in the Phoenix Cup for DGA Team England vs USA, Scotland and Wales alongside being a part of Team South in the annual DGA North V South event.
My career as a disabled golfer furthered with offers of sponsorship deals and giving me the confidence to move on to the European Tour and World Rankings.
I highly recommend the DGA if you are new to the game or want to start playing again, the possibilities are endless and I can’t but thank the DGA for giving me the confidence to be able to play at a European Tour level".
