Ryan Dench runs
Hackney Half 2024 for DGA

Greetings,

I am Ryan Dench, and I am embarking on the significant challenge of participating in the Hackney Half Marathon on behalf of the Disabled Golf Association. Originating from Bridlington, this will be my inaugural experience in a half marathon, marking a milestone in my journey.

The training regimen has been rigorous, demanding unwavering dedication and perseverance. My motivation to support the Disabled Golf Association stems from my acquaintance with Alan Baker, a cherished neighbour whose friendship and support have profoundly impacted my life since my relocation. Alan’s affiliation with the association has illuminated its noble cause, inspiring me to contribute as my charity for this run.

Scheduled for Sunday, May 19th, the Hackney Half Marathon encompasses a distance of 13.1 miles, representing a commendable feat despite its distinction from a full marathon. This event, recognised as the Wizz Air Hackney Half under the auspices of Hackney Moves, promises a unique and memorable experience.

I extend my sincere appreciation to all who have offered their support, whether through online donations or personal contributions. Your generosity is invaluable, and every contribution, no matter the size, contributes to the meaningful work of the Disabled Golf Association.

Ryan
