SandHills Tested, Dale Bested
We returned to the beautifully manicured Sandhill G.C. for the second year running, where we received a very cordial Barnsley welcome from all the staff and members. We had dropped on yet another excellent summer day with a slight breeze this would make shot selection just that bit tricker, the greens were running firm and fast with some subtle borrows to contend.
So what would the scoring be like? Coming in 3rd place with a respectable 34 points, David Walls, then in 2nd place with a good par round of 36 points, Ian Slowther, and our winner in 1st place with an excellent 39 points, Dale Banks.
