Heavy Rain Adds to Whitefield’s Splendour 

Once again we received a very warm welcome from both members and staff at the prestigious Whitefield Golf Club, we must also congratulate them on their tremendous new seating and bar area where we received our roll and coffee and after the competition an excellent 2-course meal, again thank you to the bar staff.

Now to the festivities unfortunately the weather was not so accommodating and it rained for most of the day. As captain, I would like to thank all the members of the DGA who entered the event for their sterling effort on what is a tough track made considerably harder by the adverse weather conditions all things considered not a bad scoring day.

In 3rd place with 30 pts Brian White, 2nd place with 32pts Gerard Hart who’s ball striking was phemoninal and a dream to witness as by North Captain Anthony Roberts his playing partner, and the winner who was out with former John Riordan who nothing but praise to say a fine accolade on a fantastic 37pts Paul Garard congratulations and well done. 

We look forward to our return to Whitefield for the Northern Open on 22nd July so you have had a taster get your name down for the main event, once again I thank you for your efforts.
