About Join In

Volunteering in local sport has the power to create healthier, happier people and stronger communities.

Join In is the nation’s charity for local sports volunteering.

  • We support the clubs and groups who need volunteers most.
  • We promote brilliant opportunities for people to lend a hand.
  • We recognise the huge social value created by volunteers with our campaigns.

Together with our Official Partners, Join In aspires to a nation of active people joining in their local communities.

Our charity’s aim is to put more volunteers into community sport. Volunteers help more people get active and we recognise the huge value they contribute to a happier, healthier nation.

How do we make a difference?

Through our campaigns and on-the-ground network, Join In matches people to volunteering opportunities at clubs in their area.

Join In & #disabledgolf

The Disabled Golf Association have signed up as a club with joininuk.org in a two-way arrangement to get more volunteers helping at events with the more physical side of things and to inspire and support the volunteers already helping to run their golf events.

We couldn’t have done this without the dedication and hard work of Graeme Robertson, National Events Co-ordinator of the Disabled Golf Association, Sophie Burke, Marketing Director for BGL and her wonderful staff based at Burhill, and our amazing team of volunteers:
