PRO STEPH WESTBROOK LAUNCHES NEW DGA KIT AT VIP GOLF PRO AM TOUR (16th April 2015)
Disabled Golf Association joined with Pro Steph Westbrook to sponsor a team in the www.vipgolfproamtour.co.uk - The playing format is a ‘one pro/one amateur’ team with both players playing a strokeplay medal round. Within the format of the day there are four separate, yet interlinked, competitions being played at the same time.
The professionals are playing for substantial prize money in an individual strokeplay event, with tour members playing for points, for an end of season Order of Merit prize. The newly launched Tour with Tour Director David Rose has attracted a great following amongst Professionals across the country. DGA members will remember David as starter at the Golf Trust Open.
Twice Ladies winner of Jamega Tour Steph Westbrook of Southampton joined with 14 year old Lewis Eccles of the DGA. The DGA team were promoting the newly launched range of clothing for the DGA.
Congratulations to Pro Lewis Atkinson who was the winner of the South Essex GC event in the Tour.

FUNDRAISING AT MILL GREEN GC (18 February 2015)
A staggering £5,041 was presented by Ken Gordon. Mill Green GC Captain and Phil Stokes, Interim General Manager to the Disabled Golf Association CIC, representing funds raised by the Captain’s Charity for 2014. On hand to receive the cheque were one legged golfer Stan Bembenek who lost his entire left leg and half his pelvis to bone cancer; Graeme Robertson who has primary progressive MS and is Team England Captain and works for DGA as national events co-ordinator; and Graeme’s wife (and carer) Sue who is a volunteer and Marketing Director at DGA.

FUNDRAISING AT BLACKBURN GC (19th September 2014)
Blackburn Golf Club have chosen the Disabled Golf Association (DGA) as as beneficiaries for their Golf Day to be held on Friday 19th September 2014. Captain Peter Salt and Lady Captain Leah Watson have sent booking details to every golf club, in Lancashire Greater Manchester and Merseyside.
The cost is just £120 for a team of 4 with ladies most welcome; further details available from firstname.lastname@example.org

England player Warren Clark was on hand to receive a £150 donation fromSouthampton Audi to the Disabled Golf Association.

VOLUNTEER CO-ORDINATOR IN ESSEX (1st June 2014)
DGA Essex are proud to announce Volunteer Co-Ordinator for Essex as Paul Houghton. Paul shares a passion to see disabled and impaired golf really take off in his home county of Essex. Paul lost his leg in an industrial accident yet is seen here pictured as a member of Team England where he represented his country against the Scots in the Auld Enemies Cup.
FUNDRAISING IN MAY (24th May 2014)

The month started with a donation via DGA Patron and former Ryder Cup Captain Mark James, from Sennelager GC in Germany, followed by a wonderful dinner/dance organised by Nicky and Claire at The Buckinghamshire GC; the Institute of Gas Engineers & Managers (IGEM) South west Annual Golf Day; and ongoing fundraising at Ealing GC where DGA is the Captain’s Charity for 2014; to finish off the month’s efforts we have also just received £100 donation from Sealion Shipping Ltd following their Christmas Raffle.
